unlock your creative potential
Hi, I’m Jo.
I help people reconnect with their creativity in order to have better ideas, be stronger communicators and connect to themselves and others.
15 years ago I realised that by spending my life trying to get everything perfect, I’d stopped taking any risks, or doing anything that just brought me joy for joy’s sake.
I took a month off work and got friends to send me different creative challenges to do every day, and it totally changed my life. It made me feel happier, better at making decisions, more alive and more able to deal with difficult things. It made me a better leader, friend, partner and parent because I felt more me.
Since then I’ve been supporting others to do the same, first as Founder and CEO of 64 Million Artists, where over 12 years we reached over a million people through our public programme, became of one of the most respected research leadership providers in Higher Education and were a national voice in shifting cultural policy.
When I stepped down in January 2026, I wanted to have more flexibility to work with small teams and individuals on creativity for change, and also keep writing and speaking about this work that feels essential to shifting the way we’re currently living.
Since then I’ve been working with clients such as the National Trust, Arts Marketing Association, Clore Leadership Programme, King’s College London, Swindon Borough Council, Crafts Council, Prime Theatre and others, helping them to use creativity to make change, work better collectively and imagine and enact new futures.
I also run a weekly free Creative Club and occasional courses for individuals which you can find out more about here.
